T400 No Screen Backlight

Here's a guide for taking apart a Dell laptop LCD assembly, might be helpful. i have ensured that the video cable into the motherboard is plugged in securely, and that the connectors in and out of the inverter are snug. I don't have any instructions for Gateway laptops, but most likely the inverter board is located under the LCD mask as shown in the article. Default is usually 60hz. My laptop screen is damaged. Hope this helps.
