It should be, unless you accidentally unticked 'Start Menu shortcut' in VLC's Setup. Currently this is not possible because the "Auto Arrange" setting is stored in the same place as the sorting order, so you can't have both stored at the same time. Recently installed Office 365 with several errors that MS support helped me with. It does NOT make VLC run at startup.
Now I find that none of the Office programs are on the default program list although I was able to associated most them with extensions.
