Removing the Windows update or going back to the previous mouse driver does not solve the problem. That being said I wish Rainmeter was as configurable as conky. If this happens, it's most likely updates. Lenovo Laptop Freezes Randomly Their support is fantastic as well.

This is a killer during the OS install because you are inclined to power off at the worst time and corrupt the installation process.
